Message from the Pastor

Hello, my name is Brian Harmon and I am the pastor of Nehemiah Baptist Church and I would like to introduce to you this new ministry in our neighborhood.

First of all, Nehemiah Baptist Church is a community church.

People from different church backgrounds, different parts of the country, and different walks of life make up our congregation.

We really mean it when we say you are invited to come "just as you are."

We have a burden and intense desire to see people’s lives changed and transformed through a fervent faith in Jesus Christ.

As a Great Commission church, our first priority is to be clear on how a person can live eternally with God. Second, we want to see happy fulfilled lives, marriages, homes, friendships, and community.

Our services are a blend of both traditional and contemporary.

So whether you are young or a senior, there is something at Nehemiah Baptist Church for you.

If you visit Nehemiah Baptist Church you will find yourself in a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can be yourself, enjoy genuine worship and hear a life-changing message from God's Word, the Bible.

At Nehemiah Baptist Church you will find the folks here to be encouraging and helpful in many ways.

Our motto is "Helping you build your life God's way" and that is exactly what we are here for, to help you in whatever way we can to experience the grace of God, and learn to grow and mature as a Christian should.

Jesus said, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” (John 12:32)

This is our ultimate goal, to lift up Jesus in all that we say and do.

Why the name “Nehemiah”?

The Bible tells us that Nehemiah was a servant and builder.
He was responsible for overseeing the wall being rebuilt around Jerusalem.

Nehemiah also demonstrated his love for God by caring enough
to meet the physical and spiritual needs of his people.

This is what Nehemiah Baptist Church is all about.

We are a group of people who seek to have our lives built on God’s Word,
be transformed through a real, personal, and intimate relationship
with God through Jesus Christ, and fulfill our life’s mission
by helping others to enjoy the same benefits.

Our Purpose & Mission

Nehemiah Baptist church is a 21st century church who seeks to be
fervent and zealous in carrying out the Great Commission in our community.

We aim to meet the physical and spiritual needs of our community
by sharing Jesus with them at their point of need.
